Fluorine Chemical:Innovation promotes stock and increase

President of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Li Yongwu said at the meeting, although the fluorine chemical industry is an emerging industry with less difficulties than that of traditional industries, but research by China Petrochemical Association shows that fluorine chemical industry capacity has also been a structural surplus. Fluorine chemical industry is currently facing technical hunger. 
  Director of China Organic Fluorine and Silicone Material Industry Association, Ji Gang, said the past two years, due to the structural surplus of fluorine chemical products, price falling in low-end products, high-end products relying on imports, coupled with a sharp rise in fluorine chemical industry manufacturing costs, fluorine chemical industry profitability has been greatly affected. From January to October, the profits of several main enterprices fell sharply comparing to same time last year.

  The seminar is jointly organized by the China Organic Fluorine and Silicone Material Industry Association and Japan F & F International Association.

Take innovative steps into the blue ocean market


  Director of Juhua Group Technology Center Wang Shuhua said technology innovation in fluorine chemical industry needs to go in an open cooperative way. Hopeing that through the joint efforts of the whole industry, fluorine chemical products becomes from aristocracy material into cost-effective engineering materials.

Fluorine chemical has obvious structural overcapacity and grand stock, so the industry must restructure and agglomerate itself to form fluorine material industry groups so as to further enhance the international competitiveness and gather more resources onto the scientific and technological innovation. It is the consensus of leading backbone enterprises to optimize innventory through integration and restructuring.

At the same time, we must strive to create new market demand. For example,adapting to  the trend of environmental protection, apply fluorine materials with special properties for industrial waste air and waste water treatment industry, prolonging the original device longevity, but also broadening the application of fluorine new material; PTFE microporous membranes used to solve PM2.5 problem; hydrophilic and super-hydrophobic fluorine materials for industrial wastewater treatment and special separation, there is a very good development. Thus, the existing stock of products given new uses, put up a combined stock and incremental.

  Dongyue Group Chief Engineer Yu Xiuyuan said, Current fluorine chemical industry already has a large stock,It is a vital important issue on how to revitalize the upgrading of existing installations, optimize stock. We believe that one solution is to strengthen the development and application of technology, develop new applications, make the production by current equipment meet high-end products required by clients. For example, the FEP can be processed into high-frequency electricity transporting cable materials to attain new market space; improvement of the desalination and the production of film PVDF. Earlier, we focus on how to produce products, the next step we should pay attention to product application. Dongyue has listed application research as the next development focus and established application labs for fluorine coating, fluorine resin processing, film material processing etc..  

  Another issue of technological innovation is the development of new products, which is also looking for increments. Dongyue seeks breakthroughs in the field of new energy, new materials, new environmental protection,developed the fuel cell membrane, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Mercedes-Benz, Ford and other companies, applying the fuel cell membrane in automobiles. Dongyue also developed a solar cell membrane, storage batteries film, realizing fluorine chemical industrial upgrading, while finding a new growth point.
